Ania joins Access+ in Niagara
Invited by BIPOC TV & Film to attend Access+ as an observer, Ania spent three inspiring days learning alongside a remarkable group of Canadian producers and international industry experts. Presented by EAVE and the National Screen Institute, the intensive offered a deep dive into international co-production, market strategy, pitching, company development and the realities of building a sustainable career as a producer. And for once, an industry event was happening right in Ania’s own backyard in Niagara, an opportunity she simply couldn’t miss! Highlights included invaluable insights from renowned German producer Titus Kreyenberg and international film marketing strategist Mathias Noschis, as well as exchanges with Head of Studies Tamara Dawit and group leaders Daniela Mujica and Damon D’Oliveira. It was also a wonderful opportunity to connect with participating producer Rolla Tahir and the wider Access+ community. And amid all the conversations about projects, financing and international ambitions, Alex Petroyama’s wellness sessions offered an equally important reminder: producers need to take care of themselves, too, if they want to build careers that can truly last.
